Most ships boasts exercise facilities and classes. If you want to spend some time on working out, don't forget gym clothes and shoes.
Some cruises travel through various climates. Pack accordingly.
Life aboard a cruise ship is generally careless and casual. Pack comfortable clothes.
Take such footwear as walking/running shoes and, if your destination is warm, sandals.
When cruising warm weather destinations, anyway pack a sweater/sweatshirt, water repellant jacket and hat.
Although most dining areas on larger ships may have a dress code, not all do. Outside of the main dining room, in a pizzeria or buffet, you may usually wear t-shirts, jeans and shorts.
When the dress code for a dining area is described as "casual", bear in mind that T-shirts, jeans and shorts are not allowed.
If the dress code for a dining area is described as "formal", women should be prepared to wear cocktail dresses or evening gowns, while men should wear business suits or tuxedos (though not required).
On most ships you can find tuxedo rental for formal events, so you may eliminate the fuss of packing one. Almost every ship offers laundry service (including dry cleaning), but the bill can add up. Consider bringing a small amount of abstergent for washing clothes yourself.
Most ships provide powerful air conditioning. A sweater or sweatshirt may come practical.
