Cruise Consultant Probable salary: US$ 2,000 – 2,500 per month. Functions: Holds desk hours and mingles with passengers to promote, reserve, and sell future cruises to passengers. There will be lots of free time in port. Candidate Requirements: Experience in sales/public relations or as a travel agent.
Social Hostess Probable salary: US$ 2,500 – 3,500 per month. Functions: Introduces the captain to passengers at the Captains Cocktail Party; conducts social activities; acts as a master of ceremonies at specific passenger activities as directed by the cruise director. Requirements: Entertainment, recreation, hotel or resort experience preferred or 1-2 years on board working your way up from an entry-level cruise staff position; public speaking, delegate responsibilities and strong organizational abilities.
Port Lecturer Probable salary: US$ 2,000 – 4,000 per month. Functions: Give talks, slide shows and shopping information on the various ports of call. You will work closely with the excursion office staff and Cruise Director. Experience and Requirements: Good knowledge of the respective ports of call, public speaking ability and a friendly, outgoing personality.
Art Auctioneer Probable salary: US$ 2,000 – 4,000 per month. Functions: Selling prints of works of art. Experience and Requirements: Strong background in retail, public speaking ability and a friendly, outgoing personality.
