One of the most intriguing cruises is a nude one. Want to experience this type of vacation? The first step is to find out more about it. As you imagine it? This is the voyages populated entirely by folks wearing nothing more than SPF-4,000 sunscreen. And other benefits are obvious as well: no outfits for formal nights; no need to use the expensive laundry service on board; packing the whole wardrobe for a weeklong vacation.
And now about the bare facts. You may wonder who goes on such cruises. Well, everyone who likes to be naked, people of all professions and ages (however, the average age is between 45 and 55) and 98 percent of them are married or otherwise attached. You may also choose where to be nude (in the pool, at the blackjack table, while singing karaoke), the only exception is the formal dining room, where clothes are required, but that can be as little as a T-shirt, shorts and flip-flops. And you should not freeze, as the ship officials raise the temperature on board for nude groups. Passengers also should have something on them when the ship calls into ports, because local authorities have to board to clear the ship. As for the hygiene, the basic nudist etiquette is that you should always sit on something, mostly a towel, which are happily provided by the cruise line. If you wonder whether the crew is nude too, you’ll be perhaps disappointed by the answer. It is ‘no’.
And here some advices if you nevertheless decided to head for this exotic (no matter what destination you choose) cruise. Take enough and even more of the sun screen as you will get sun directly as well as indirectly from reflections off the sea, too. Make sure you took medication or patches with you if you are subject to motion sickness. Most cruises navigate smooth seas but it's wise to be prepared. Pack not much as storage space may be somewhat limited. Do not forget a towel to sit on. Take lots of small notes since you need your cash when you bargain with the locals. You can make your own deals with taxi drivers for a custom-designed shore excursion.
